Home Grants

A patron just asked about a grant from the government to allow them to stay in their home. After some detective work, I found the paperwork at Making Homes Affordable . There are several forms to fill out along with an instruction sheet to guide them through the process.

For New Computer Users

Students of our basic computer classes use Mouserobics to learn to practice mouse skills. If you google search "Mouserobics" or "Mousercise" you will find programs online for patrons who wish to continue to practice their skills.

Tax Help 2010

Taxes are scheduled already! They are changing to 10:30 to 2:30 and will run most of February through April 14. The phone # for Joe Endres is on the meeting room calendar.

Turn off Printing

Before you print a long receipt for fines, you might ask the user if they need a copy of the receipt. If not, you can turn the printing off. See the directions below:

On the very top of the WorkFlows screen, find "Preferences".
Click "Peripherals".
Click "Receipt Printer".
Unclick "receipt printer available".

Voila!

Just remember to turn it back on when you are done.

Computer Classes

Scott fixed the computer class problem. Sign up in now only for one class, not for the entire series. If you want to sign someone up via the E-vents calendar, feel free. We can still use the list on our page though.

Interlibrary loans now have a fine of $1 per day.
